Who is Smiling Pug?

My photo
Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada
"I am a happy pug therefore.... I am a smiling pug"! My mum is called Smilingpug... after me! Because of her love of animals and nature, she is a Buddhist and a vegetarian (thank god). She is most inspired by the Dalai Lama. We live on the West Coast of Canada and I share my home with my two older feline sisters Tika and Kizzy and my NEW little brother Sam Cooper who... is all the way from MidSouth Pug Rescue in Tennessee!! I am 11 and I don't walk to well anymore, but that doesn't mean I don't get around! Welcome to my blog.

Free for Recycling..... 2 adult cats, one calico the other a grey tabby

Hello everypuggy

Well yesterday I gots two letters in the mail! The first one was this from Gunther, Betty and Stella. Thank yous for the card. I really enjoyed our time together and getting to know you all during the great escape of Pearl.

The other thing I gots was FLAT PUGLET!!!! Yeah I am super excited but you know what?....... I thinks Mum is even more excited. We have big plans for him this week I can't waits. Here I am meeting him when he arrived last night.

WIth the arrival of Flat Puglet, I am reminded of his purpose and that is to spread the word on recycled dogs. I have decided that this should includes cats as well. So, on that note I would like to offer two cats for adoption. One is a lap cap calico princess and the other is her royal meowness, a grey tabby with a highly intelligent brain. I offer them for recycling to a new home, FREE. Here is a picture of the cats I am referring too.

Why you ask, would I do this? Let me tells you.......

About a week ago I settled in for a lounge on the bed on my bone blanket. Later when I awoke I was tied up with this. (Tuni, Sequoia.. do you recognize this?)

I was unable to get up and walks. I heard the click clack of keys in the other room, the whisper of meows and realized my feline siblings had busted into my blog!!! I howled for mum and she came running, untied me and gave us all a lecture about tying up siblings and sharing the blog.

Then thursday nights I was called into our bathroom by TIka. She was yelling something about treats on the ground. When I entered the door slammed shuts and her and I was stuck in there. All she kept saying was "ooppps I messed up I should run out". Again I heard the click clack of keys in the other room and Kizzy laughing and muttering about some picture with dentures. I howled and mum came running agains. Once again they gots into trouble and I was talked to about not being such a blog hog.

Now I have to allow them on this blog every Fridays!!!!!! They have to stop trying to ban me from being in the computer room. I can't takes anymore! Stella, Gunther and Betty are right..... These two felines are aliens!
So, if you are interested please contact ME (not my mum, if she found out I was doing this, I would get grounded for life, times 2, and not a chance for parole).

So, on that notes, with this posting I am including pictures of Flat Puglet and me at the Vancouver airport dog beach in Richmond. We had good times. I took him to play ball and to watch planes.

This is an 8 yr old very deaf but super fun dog we mets on the beach. I shared my ball with her.

And last but not least...... looks what Mum did for me and Tuni!

Tuni + Winston!

1st Edition - Feline Fridays..... Yoga with Dentures?!@!*

Now a hilarious picture of me with new teeth.

So this week I plotted out my plan on how to get rid of the beige guy so we could get on the computer. I schemed that Tika would lure him into the bathroom with claims of treats being discovered on the floor. I would then slam the door shut locking him inside.

The trick went according to plan until Tika forgot to exit the bathroom when I gave the command, now she is locked in there with Winston and I am left to post this edition on my own.

So here goes....

Pictures taken last weekend of us enjoying the sunny afternoon in the garden. We did a bit of Yoga.

Tika doing her version of "downward facing cat". This is done by placing front paws on the wood edge and stretching back legs out. Tail must remain pointing down.

Here is me doing a modified "pidgeon" pose
This pose can be tricky but the idea here is to stretch the back of the neck by tilting head back while keeping paws on the ground and body straight. Tail points downward.

Here Tika is doing the "Warrior Pose" There are 3 modifications to this one, here Tika is doing number 2. Tail is arrow straight, in line with body. Body is crouched low to the ground. Head stays in line with the body.

Me doing the "downward facing cat" again, for this one, stretching out back legs and tail points downward.

To end the session I do my meditation. Here I am in deep meditation.
The key is to completely relax and let your mind focus on  food  opps I mean purring and the breath.

That is it for yoga pictures.

Now I better get off here and figure out how to get those two outta the bathroom before I gets into trouble big time!!!!!

Big Trouble in Little Burnaby

Hi everypuggy, I interrupt this post to fill you in on what has been happening these past two days.
It all started when I read about Pearl and her chicken incident.

This got her grounded. I left her a comment on her blog telling her I was on my ways. I grabbed my crowbar and waited out front for this to arrive.

Stella, Gunther and Betty pulled up out front and honked twice. I ran down the drive and hopped in.
We were headed to Oklahoma to free Pearl.

We did encounter a small problem at the border, as I did not have this.

So they hid me in this until we cleared the border.

Once across the border we headed to Pearl's. We honked twice and she ran out and hopped in.
We were all hungry so we headed to this.

Pearl still had not had her fill of Chicken!

We caused absolute chaos in there. Eventually the place had to be evacuated on account of Betty and her farts. This ended up to our advantage as we were then free roam of the joint.
Meanwhile back at Pearl's house......
Pearl's momma was asking for help in finding Pearl when a citizen spotted us and snapped this picture.
This picture was posted on Pearl's blog.

So was this next picture. We were spotted somewhere along the I-35 when this picture was taken. Pearl was at the wheel and I will say one thing.... she is a reckless driver.

It was this recklessness of hers that got us busted.

What happened not long after this picture was taken was..... we ran over this.

Which in turn caused this.

When we all piled out of the truck to see the tire a state patrol car came along. He immediately recognised Pearl from her picture distributed by her momma.
Next thing we knew, we were in these.

We were pawcuffed!!!!!

Anyways I ended up being escorted back across the border and was returned home in this.

Mum was not pleased to find me at the door with the RCMP behind me.

I got into big trouble!
Now I am totally grounded, just like Pearl was!

PeeS.  Sorry Tuni, we were headed over to visit you when the tire went flat!

Count down until our Mum's Birthday!
