Who is Smiling Pug?

My photo
Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada
"I am a happy pug therefore.... I am a smiling pug"! My mum is called Smilingpug... after me! Because of her love of animals and nature, she is a Buddhist and a vegetarian (thank god). She is most inspired by the Dalai Lama. We live on the West Coast of Canada and I share my home with my two older feline sisters Tika and Kizzy and my NEW little brother Sam Cooper who... is all the way from MidSouth Pug Rescue in Tennessee!! I am 11 and I don't walk to well anymore, but that doesn't mean I don't get around! Welcome to my blog.

Luxury Car Rides

Hi everypuggy,

Winston heres today to talks about "car travel".

My good pals Lincoln and Minnie are proud new owners of  their brand new
"torture device".
For those of you who haven't read about this.....
stop by their blog to check it outs, maybe even leave them a sympathy comment.

Ok so on this topic of car rides,
I decided that I would dedicate this post to them.

This is a post about how I travel in the car.

Now Mum wants me to point outs that on account that I am such a big pug......
I don't fit into ANY of those "torture devices"

(shown here)

So, because of my large size, I get to avoid the "torture devices"
and I travel in style instead!
(I will add that I am ever grateful for being a big boy!)

Here is a photo of me in the car!
And here is a short video.

Well all I can say to Minnie and Lincoln is.....
"Eat your heart out guys!"

  1. LOL! The mom hasn't had a woofie since childhood, but she remembers the last dog they had in Gaspé, Mandy. She *loved* car rides, and that was back in the day before anyone had ever heard of carriers or PTUs or other restraints. Dogs just rode loose in the car, or in Mandy's case, her leash got tied around the back door handle. Every time a car would pass us, Mandy would whip her head back and bite the interior side of the door, the leather. Silly girl. :-)

  2. that's rubbing it in, Winston! Mack and I also have torture devices as well. If I'm not in my car seat, I get really nervous and don't enjoy the ride!

    Drools and licks,
    Minnie and Mack

PeeS from Minnie: you are such a big, handsome boy!

  3. Looks very nice! We love the car, but we also hate the torture devices! Mom tries to make us wear the though but we often escape.

  4. OMG Winston. You are so lucky. That's how I used to ride. I got all the good cuddles and pettings! Maybe I need to eat more so I too don't fit in a torture device....

Or maybe if I looked as adorbs as you in car, I could get away with it.

    Muah,

  5. Winston, I must learn your ways! Please teach me! Not only did you manage to get the front seat, but you made your mom sit in the back. You are the master pug!

Oh, Winston, I hope your Mama turns that airbag off! I have my own seatbelt and my very own seat in the back. It's not so bad, but I'd rather be on my Mama's lap, that's for sure!
