Who is Smiling Pug?

My photo
Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada
"I am a happy pug therefore.... I am a smiling pug"! My mum is called Smilingpug... after me! Because of her love of animals and nature, she is a Buddhist and a vegetarian (thank god). She is most inspired by the Dalai Lama. We live on the West Coast of Canada and I share my home with my two older feline sisters Tika and Kizzy and my NEW little brother Sam Cooper who... is all the way from MidSouth Pug Rescue in Tennessee!! I am 11 and I don't walk to well anymore, but that doesn't mean I don't get around! Welcome to my blog.

Watching planes at YVR

Wow what a day! The sun shining, white puffy clouds float through the light breeze. The perfect day for grabbing my chuck-it and heading to MacDonald Beach for a run on the beach and splash in the river. After chuck-it we stop near the airport to watch the planes. We like to do this on nice sunny afternoons. I am still wet from wading in the river so I like to sit on the grass and let the sun dry my fur. We sit in the car with the roof down or sit on the grass and the giant planes soar right over our heads! I like to throw in a few good barks to let them know that I am in charge here and this is my turf. They fly by overhead at a great rumble but don't give me much trouble once I set them straight. Here are some photos from the beach and plane watching.

The Dog Days of Summer

The dog days of summer 09 have arrived! Mum has lots of pics of myself and friends enjoying the warm sunny weather.
After a long walk, we just like to hang out at Starbucks
Pre-bedtime snack ritual...... my "don't pet me I am concentrating on begging" face
Cruising the town in our convertible...... I am the "trendy pug" when we pull up to the off leash park with the top down and my ears flapping.

A day in the Country

Mum strapped the bike to the back of the car, loaded me into the passenger seat and set off to Aunty Justine's in Lindell Beach for the day. I was a long car ride up there.... took over an hour. After the final stretch around Cultus Lake we arrived at Nomad's home. Nomad came up the drive and barked hello, we exchanged a bit of butt sniffing too. Unfortunately Mum did not get any pics of Nomad. There is lots of yard at this house and many little feathered birds running around cock-a-doodling. We walked down the long road while the human's rode the bikes. I ran so fast to keep up but Mum said she eventually had to slow down to allow me to keep up. I got to see horses up close and a donkey! I had so much fun, I love visiting Nomad and his many cat siblings!
