Who is Smiling Pug?

My photo
Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada
"I am a happy pug therefore.... I am a smiling pug"! My mum is called Smilingpug... after me! Because of her love of animals and nature, she is a Buddhist and a vegetarian (thank god). She is most inspired by the Dalai Lama. We live on the West Coast of Canada and I share my home with my two older feline sisters Tika and Kizzy and my NEW little brother Sam Cooper who... is all the way from MidSouth Pug Rescue in Tennessee!! I am 11 and I don't walk to well anymore, but that doesn't mean I don't get around! Welcome to my blog.

An evening on Burnaby Mountain

It was a nice evening when mum said... "car ride to Burnaby Mountan, let's go" Here are pictures from that evening.
When we got there we saw the parachuting dude. Sometimes in the summer there are a couple of guys gliding down the hill. Not a long glide but fun to bark at none the less.
Mum tried to get a pic of me and the Burnaby City view in the background, the sun wasn't cooperating though. It was at the wrong angle.
Lounging on the grass and chewing a stick.
While I was walking around being encourage to "wee wee". I wandered into the bush for privacy when what to my surprise I found this slightly used kong toy. I was super excited and when I appeared out of the bushes I proudly struggled to carry it in my mouth. Mum was not as overly excited as I. Her response was...... "oh god now what the hell have you found..... that is absolutely filthy, covered in other dogs spit and soiled with dirt and way too big to carry in your mouth!" I was allowed to play with it a little while but NOT allowed to bring it home. I was not happy about that. Something about "tons of toys at home and the fact it was old and dirty".
I had to be placed up here as it was too high for my little legs to jump up. But wow look at the view! Pug-king of the world!
Trying to chew on stick while lounging watching the parachute dude and trying to bark all at the same time. Word of caution to all you pugs..... chewing and barking don't mix and can lead to coughing, snorting and choking, which in turns results in the taking away of the stick, by mum!
Posing for the camera with my little stick. Just before the barking incident.

  1. Oh yous so lucky to get to go on such an awesome journey! I thinks it was probably good that you left the kong toy you found because some other doggie may have lost it and will be very sad and will probably come back to find it. You looks likes you had a wonderful time! Thanks for sharing your adventure.
