Who is Smiling Pug?

My photo
Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada
"I am a happy pug therefore.... I am a smiling pug"! My mum is called Smilingpug... after me! Because of her love of animals and nature, she is a Buddhist and a vegetarian (thank god). She is most inspired by the Dalai Lama. We live on the West Coast of Canada and I share my home with my two older feline sisters Tika and Kizzy and my NEW little brother Sam Cooper who... is all the way from MidSouth Pug Rescue in Tennessee!! I am 11 and I don't walk to well anymore, but that doesn't mean I don't get around! Welcome to my blog.

A surprise!

Hello everypuggy. A special hello to my pug luv Tuni, I hopes you are feeling betters. I have been worried sicks abouts you!

Ok let me tells you about this surprise.

Yesterday Mum came home from work with this.

I gots super excited when she uncovered it.
I could not wait to see what the surprise was.

Meet Mr. Fish

He is the newest addition to our house. Mum said she inherited him from work. The story goes that one of the owner's sons wanted all employees to have a fish at their work area. He came into the office with two fish to present the idea. The owner's oldest son said no way it was a ridiculous idea. So the work place was stuck with two fish in these jars with rocks. One fish became a member of my Mum's dept. Eventually the fish landed up on Mum's desk. Mum found it hard to find time to remember to clean fish and have him fed by someone when she isn't there on Monday. So, Mum decided Mr. Fish would be better off at our house.

Last night Mum placed Mr. Fish on her dresser. She thought this would be a great place for him because I would be able to see him from the bed. Kizzy got a little too interested and Mum then said she would had to cover the jar for the night. She said something about not trusting Kizzy. I thinks I understand what she means. I found myself tied up the other day after my nap! Anyway later about that back, to Mr. Fish.

This morning Mum and I went to Petsmart. Mum decided Mr. Fish needed a bigger home but more importantly... one with a lid, a very secure lid!

Here I am in the cars heading there.

I helped Mum pick out the new tank, which then lead to accessories!

Naturally I was very popular with everyone at Petsmart!

Mum only wents to get a cheap tank but ended up with all of this!

I had to wait on the porch while Mum unloaded all the stuffs!

So this is his new home. He really likes it.

I luv Mr. Fish. I told Mum he should be mines because he is Blues, my favourite colour, and because he is a boy. Mum gots a little mad and told me he is to be shared not everything is for me! Whatever!

At first I thought the surprise was a new guinea pig. Mum luvs Guinea pigs. But then I saw it was a fish. We have had fishes before. Come to thinks of it, I could have sworn Mum said that when the last fish died that was it, no more fish or small animals, our house was full enough. I reminded Mum of this and she just saids that she tooks the fish because it needed a proper homes and it doesn't shed so she was ok with it.

Mum is rights about the shedding part. Mr Fish never leaves the water. Mum says thank goodness fish don't sheds. She couldn't imagine having to redecorate the house so the carpet, tiles, bedding and blankets is blue. We just finally finished decorating with beige. Come to thinks of it..... I wonder why Mum choose  beige anyways? I wouldn't mind blue, blues would be better!

So enjoys the pictures of my new fish. Next post I will fills you all in on what happened when I woke ups tied up!!

PeeS: I did get somethings good outta going to Petsmart. Look what I got! Hey Tuni it is carry outs beef flavour! I likes them too!

There has been a revolt!

There has been a revolt. Us felines are rebelling. We are up in paws over blog hog Winston. From now on every Friday has been deemed FELINE FRIDAYS!

Tika and I secretly met in the yard and plotted a way to confiscate the computer.

Once it was all planned out we waited for the little porker to fall asleep

Then we tied him up and ran in here to make a post

Today is our day, please enjoy our pretty pictures while you visit our blog.

Mum always says never be fooled by my innocent looks. I may look cutes but I am a devil.
I was, after all, the mastermind behind the revolt!!

Hi everyone, look at me lounging, aren't I pretty.
I just have to share the my news. I made a new friend!
Her name is Sequoia, she may be a pug but she and I hit it off right aways.
We are going to be great friends I thinks.

That is all for now. I guess we should go untie Winston now before we get into troubles.

Tika the cat, a princess at that!

Ok today this post is all about Moi!

There will be no Winston today. I am sorry to say but he has been too much of a blog hog lately. Tuni this and Tuni that! Look at me in my Canadian flag, oh hello all my pugger friends.... well I say PFT! MY TURN FATSO!

Look at me.... aren't I pretty. I am a true princess. Yup that is what Mum calls Moi! My name is Tika. My middle name is Daisy. Mum gave me that name as I like to smell the Daisies. I can be heard being called.... Tika, TIKA DAISY! (when I am in troubles), Tikachu (after pikachu from pokeman), Tik-a-cat, calico kitten, Girls (when Mum is calling both me and my sister). My favourite name is "Mum's little princess".

I looks so much like Jane that if freaks Mum out. Check out Jane and see for yourself! Isn't she pretty too! I feel like we are twins.

My favourite thing is to cuddle. Yup I am a true lap cat. I walk around the house just looking and waiting for a lap to form, then bingo! I jump up onto it. I also like to sleep wrapped around Mum's neck, this is very cozy too! I also luvs the catnip. And I know how to use my charm to gets it too!

I am very sensitive (Mum says it is a calico thing.... yah whatever). I don't like change (what cat does!) and I don't like to be dirty. I am a neat freak compared to my sloppy sister who is always wearing her food and doesn't cover up her poop in the litter box. We have 3 litter boxes. Yup your read right..... 3. Even though there are only 2 of us felines, I require 3 boxes. It helps me deal with the stress of a tiny little turd from my sister in one box, I have 2 other boxes to choose from. One box I always use for poops (red one) the other 2 is for..... well, you know. If Mum doesn't get to cleaning it every day well I sure lets her know.... I then use the bathtub as my litter box. MOL! Mum does not think this is funnies that is when she uses my full name.... TIKA DAISY!

I am indoors only. I do likes to go out but only in the yard and if Mum is with me. I do make a break for it when the door is open. Mum always laughs as I run down the walkway to the driveway then I stop and low ride. I get freaked out when I realize that I am actually outside. All I have to do is crouch and meow like crazy and Mum comes to get me to carry me back inside. See I told you I was a princess!

I do fight with my sister I won't lie abouts that. She is a tough cookie and beats the heck outta me every time. I get an A for effort and persistence though. Mum won't helps me out when I start the fight, she says "it serves you right!". Ok whatever MUM..... if I just use my princess charm.... Mum comes running every time!

I will be 11 in April. Yup I am in the double digits. I sure don't look it though. I can play and run just like a kitten. I can outrun Winston (tubby) in a flash! Don't get me wrong I do luvs my pug brother, I do enjoy cuddling near him at nights, but well.... he is a dog and dogs are smelly and dirty and I am a cat.... a princess at that!

BOL Hi Tuni thought I would slip this in.......Hi Every puggy!

Hey get outta here Winston, this is my spotlight! MUM! a little help here. Ah that is better, yup Mum is wrapped around my little paw!

I hope you all enjoyed my cuteness today! (get lost Winston you are bugging me)

What a week..... Gold Medal, Big Trouble, My Own Shelves and Boring Books!

Hello everypuggy

Well after the excitement of last Sundays hockey game, I can finally relax. It was super tense in my livingroom, Dad was very into it and Mum gots us all into it with our flag. There was lots of celebrating after we won but whoa what a game it was! Here are some pictures.

Me cheering on the team

Kizzy and Tika look out into the yard, they could hear all the yelling and cheering from people outside.

Tika checking out the flag.

When it went into overtimes, it was too much to handle. I had to ease the stress by chewing on my chew bone that my pug luv Tuni sent to me. (Tuni, this chewy... It is one of my favs!)

So now that the Olympics is over, things are back to normal...... Well sort of. I did get into troubles last night.

See this?

Take a close looks. Notice anything missing? I gots this at Christmas from my grandpugma. She brought it back from Nova Scotia. I was playing with its and I kinda chewed off the eye. Mum and Dad gots mad and tooks it away from me, the lobster not the eye, you see I swallowed the eye before I could spit it out.
Mum said something about "doing a Pearl". She did not panic and she thanks Pearl for her calmness. She said if "Pearl can consume bigger things and lick toads a little eye should pass right through me".

So this is the looks I gave Mum after my wee wee walk todays! I am kinda embarrassed about her actions. After I poops she gets right in there to inspect it! holy smokes Mum please the neighbours are watching!

(I interrupt this post to let everyone know that the eye has not come out yet but it has not been 24 hours. I am sure he will be fine. [I just keep telling myself that to calm me down])

I also gots into trouble the other night when Braveheart was on TV. I don't like animals on TV even cartoon ones. When they come on I go into protection mode. Someone must protect the family from these intruders! Mum doesn't see it this way. I actually broke our old TV when I lunged at a dog on the screen and slammed the TV back against the wall. No one was impressed with the fact I had saved them from the intruder! TV's are now higher off the ground than before.... I wonder why! Anyways there were lots of horses on the screen and I gots mad at them. Here are pictures from that night.

I can no longer reach the TV from the ground, so I sit on my stool and rest my bum on the bed to get as close as I can. You can't see my stool but it is there, it helps me to get up on the beds as the bed is high for me. Lots of sudden lurching, barking and growling was taking place and Dad gots mad because he couldn't here the TV over my noise. Eventually the TV was turned off!

The one good thing to report is I have been given my own spot in the house to display my stuffs. In our stairwell we have shelves and Mum said I can show off my things on these shelves. I am super glads about this as I have lots of stuff to show off. Right now this is what I am displaying......

See my valentine cards!!! I only have two shelves so I have to watch my space and probably rotate stuffs but the good news is this is my area and I don't have to share with Tika and Kizzy! YEAH!

Mum has allowed me to keeps my picture of Tuni on our hall entry table right above my bed so everyone can see it right away. We loves seeing her picture as we walks thru the door.

The other day Mum gots an email from Happy Tails - Lost Souls: Found. They stumbled across MY our blog and emailed Mum to ask her if she wanted to submit stories about Tika and Kizzy (we missed the cut off for the pug stories, PFT I am a tad upset over this! Everything is really all about me!). Mum loves books and is really into the library and reading (BORINGS for me).

She checked out their site and is super excited about the release of the pug book! Ok this is one book that may not be BORINGS!

I wonder if Tuni will have a story in that book?
Well that is it for now, off to the beach we go it is super sunnys today. Mum.... get my chuck-it, let's go!
